Who We Are

Mission:

The mission of the Muslim Student Association is to unite students — of all backgrounds — and encourage diversity and harmony throughout campus. Our main goal is to spread hope and happiness to all people, and show that, regardless of society’s physical, religious, or mental differences, we can all unite under one common ground: the desire for peace. As a result, the purpose of our organization is to create events, meetings, and talks that unify students on campus and allow them to have an opportunity to belong to a group that provides a positive influence in their lives.

Objective:

Some of the objectives of the Muslim Student Association are to create a community of strong brotherhood and sisterhood among our members, increase their knowledge of Islam, and provide a wide range of events that cater to all NJIT students.

What We Do

General Body Meetings

General Body Meetings

The goal of our GBMs is to keep our members up to date with the latest events and make sure that their voice is heard. In addition to event planning, the general body seeks to discuss social issues and dilemmas that afflict our community so that awareness and dialogue can be established. Ultimately, GBMs are the main connection between Shura and the general body, since the MSA relies on both to remain active and useful for the entire community.
General Body Meetings will commence weekly every Friday from 11:30-12:20 in Kupfrian 202

Dawah Meetings

Dawah Meetings

Dawah is a form of worship that requires a general knowledge about Islam. By conducting Dawah meetings we provide the resources needed in order to perform the optimal level of dawah for our community. Our meetings consist of teaching the methedologies as well as acquiring the manners and charactarisics shown to us by the Prohphet Muhammad ﷺ.
Dawah Meetings will be held in Kupfrian 202 every Wednesday from 2:30-4:00 (Common Hour)

Halaqas

Halaqas

For religious learning and growth, a one-hour biweekly class is held and taught by former NJ Chapter President of AlMaghrib Institute, Baker Assaf, followed by a Q&A session.
Topics of discussion are centered around the Characteristics and Attributes of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
The class welcomes walk-ins, and is open to students of all levels!
We will meet Tueday Afternoons at 6:00 in CKB 320, Inshallah!
